Tuesday Talks: More Than Skin Deep | Episode 109
In this episode of Tuesday Talks, Dan and Lacy answer a heartfelt listener question from someone preparing for an upcoming swinger cruise while navigating a rare skin condition. The listener wonders how — or even if — they should bring it up with potential play partners and fears it could affect confidence and connection.
Dan and Lacy encourage the listener to simply own it with confidence and honesty, reminding them that it’s probably a much bigger deal in their own mind than it will be to anyone else. They discuss how this advice applies far beyond one specific condition, touching on insecurities, physical flaws, scars, disabilities, and the things many people quietly worry about in intimate situations.
The conversation becomes a reminder that everyone has something they’re self-conscious about, and nobody is perfect. Confidence, authenticity, and self-acceptance go much further than trying to hide perceived flaws — especially in a community built on openness and connection.

SPEAKER_00Tuesday talks. Just send your questions to Dan and Fix Day. Tuesday talks. Swing Nation got you feeling sexy. Tuesday talks.
SPEAKER_01Talking Tuesday with Dan and Lacey. Ooh, how about that high note?
SPEAKER_02That's perfect.
SPEAKER_04Hey there, pineapple people, and welcome to the Swing Nation podcast. We are your hosts, Northern Guy.
SPEAKER_01And Southern Girl. Why are you talking like that?
SPEAKER_04And this is another rendition of Tuesday Talk.
SPEAKER_01It's like a late night host.
SPEAKER_04It's like a Dan and Wacy. I hope you're cuddled up in bed next to a warm fire. Listening to our podcast.
SPEAKER_01Considering it's summer, maybe hopefully they're by the beach, and you have a really good voice for that. That's it's actually pretty good.
SPEAKER_03As you slide your hand down your inner thigh, your moisture gets wet for daddy's hard, throbbing cock.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. That was not what I was thinking about.
SPEAKER_04That's my rendition of the uh books that Lacey has been listening to lately. You have been listening to some nasty, nasty books.
SPEAKER_01You just called me out.
SPEAKER_04You have.
SPEAKER_01The one I'm listening to right now is rough. It is. I can bear listen.
SPEAKER_04I'm I'm you should be on a list just for listening.
SPEAKER_01I'm pretty sex positive, but this book is a little too much. And what's crazy is a vanilla person recommended it too.
SPEAKER_04It just shows you there are more freaks out there than we know.
SPEAKER_01Anyway.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Lacey is one of them.
SPEAKER_01Moving right along. Um, the book I'm reading is called The Naughty List and The Naughty. I'm on the naughty yeast is the I'm on the second one. And it's the first one wasn't too bad. The second one is it's kind of brutal. I'm not, I'm kind of over it if I'm being honest. It's just one too much. It's just like one sex scene after another. It's just and it's pretty hardcore. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03It's not really my scene, but Daddy shoves you to the ground. Oh my god. Takes his large throbbing.
SPEAKER_01Okay, hush it. Okay, let's move on. Okay, so let's get to this week's Tuesday talk. I'm just bypassing Dan.
SPEAKER_04You girls are subscribed to My OnlyFans. Maybe I'll start doing audio porn on my OnlyFans. Is there a network for that? Is there a market?
SPEAKER_01I'm sure there is, babe. But right now, this is about Tuesday talks. Oh, okay. Tuesday talks.
SPEAKER_04Okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_01The self-promotion has gotten way out of hand.
SPEAKER_04Okay, let's go to the phone lines and hear this week's question.
SPEAKER_01Well, it's a text.
SPEAKER_04Oh.
SPEAKER_01It says, Hey, Dan Lacey, Joe, and Erica here. We're big fans of your podcast. Seriously. We've learned a ton from your stories and the way you break things down. We're also pretty excited because we're heading out on our first Bliss cruise in November 2027. We didn't discover your podcast until after we booked. Otherwise, we would have used your links. Rookie thing on our part.
SPEAKER_04Rookie move. Use those links.
SPEAKER_01You and everybody else. We've been exploring this whole lifestyle world for about a year now. It's been a mix of learning, curves, and great moments. But overall, it's brought us closer and helped us understand each other. I, Joe, do have a question about something health related. I have a rare genetic condition that causes harmless blood blisters called, and I'm not even going to attempt to say this. I'm going to spell it. It's A-N-G-I-O-K-E-R-A-T-O-M-A-O-F-O-R-D-Y-C-E.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01Angiokatoma of something. Okay. I Googled it and it's just, it's like little, just the sidetrack. It's like little red bumps. Right. Little blood buttons. Okay. Um, they're totally benign, but they don't look great visually. I'm curious if you've ever come across anyone mentioning this in the lifestyle community. And if you have any thoughts on how it might have shaped your experiences, do you have any suggestions on how one would approach it in conversation? So far, it has not been a concern with other couples we have interacted with, but on a cruise it might. Thanks again for anything you share. Your podcast has been such a helpful guide. Hopefully, we will get a chance to meet you both at an event someday. We added a picture for us both. Please keep it private, which obviously we will. Great looking couple. So yeah, he has So I have a question.
SPEAKER_04You I haven't seen this picture, but is it a naughty picture or just a normal picture?
SPEAKER_01No, it's just a normal picture. So you can't see any of the no, but I Googled what I I I typed it in my phone and Googled.
SPEAKER_04Did it say where these show up at? He didn't say, but I guess that's this is my and this is where Tuesday talks is sometimes a problem because there's not enough context. Yeah. So what I'm thinking is if you have blood blisters and they appear on your arm or on your foot or on your thigh, probably not, you know, people would probably not even notice or care. If it's on or near your genitals, I can understand that maybe if it looks like it could possibly be for sure. So S T D or STI looking thing that people might have concerns.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I looked it up and none of the images that I see show any kind of private area. Of course, it's just they probably wouldn't though, right?
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Um, it shows hands, like your torso. Um there's like a butt, like on the side, you know. Um, I don't really see, but that doesn't mean that they're they're not. So I guess we'll kind of have to answer it in in two ways. I think it's kind of the same. Um so first note, I've never seen anybody with that exact thing that I can think of. But but I also don't really check everybody like completely from you know, head to toe. We should we probably maybe, but that's not something that we actively do. Um, so I've never actually seen that that I know of.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I'm also surprised, maybe not surprised. We get a fair amount of Tuesday talk questions, slash emails, slash whatever that are similar to this. Yeah, you can just not always the same medical thing.
SPEAKER_01You just take that word out that he just put, it could be I have a C-section scar, I skin pigmentations, I have I don't have hair on my head, I don't, which we've seen her. Ball beauty, yeah.
SPEAKER_04We did her episode, I think.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so um you could like Dan said, you can literally take that word out and put whatever you have. It could be I have subbed you lot, I have you any medical, whatever, right? Put that there. We've and Dan's correct. We have answered this question so many times. Um and we keep getting it.
SPEAKER_04Right.
SPEAKER_01So I don't think people are really hearing us when we say that.
SPEAKER_04And I also I can but I can relate to what he's saying, right? So some people the people might not know, I actually have kind of a medical issue. I get um lipomas and they're they're just they're lumps that they if you if you've ever had a lumpy dog that gets like those lumps on them, right? I'm the lumpy dog. I get I get and they're they're totally benign, they don't cause cancer. I've had probably a dozen of them removed from my body. I have and the problem is you get them removed from your body and then you have little scars from where you had them removed. If you don't remove them, then you have you look like a lumpy dog and you have lumps on your body, right? And and so I'm I'm self-conscious of that. I don't want to look like a lumpy dog. I don't, you know, like if I take, you know, I've lost a little weight now. I take my shirt off, and it's like, well, look at my stomach, oh, but then there's this bump there, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_01Which is like crazy.
SPEAKER_04Does anybody else besides me even notice it or see it? I don't know. I see. Nobody's ever said anything about it to me. You know what I mean? Nobody's ever said, what is that?
SPEAKER_01I would never not fuck someone because they they have a bump on their, you know, especially something like that. That's like a medical condition.
SPEAKER_04But I do get why it makes you feel insecure, right? Because it's it's something that makes you a little different. We all have people don't necessarily a hundred percent understand what it is. You know, they might think that's a cyst or something that, you know, it could be growth, you know, that could be spreading bacteria or I don't know, you know what I mean? So you you're you're not you're not a hundred percent sure of the way people are gonna react when they see something that they don't understand, right? I think that's this person's concern. And I think the answer for all of these things is the same is if you think that if somebody sees it, it's gonna concern them, then just address it. Yeah, right. Just say, hey, just so you know, right? I have this medical condition where I get these things. They're completely benign. It's not an STD, it's not a rash, it's nothing you're gonna catch. I just wanted to let you know up front that it's a thing, right? And most people don't. Like, like I said, we all have a thing, right? So it they probably don't have that thing, but they probably have their own thing or something else that they're self-conscious about and they're worried that you're gonna see and judge them for. So we're all kind of on the same playing field and we all get it. Uh and I really think that that's the the answer, right? I don't know what else to to say about that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean, I do think that when it if it's on the genital areas that does it's the same conversation. Um, but I think it's probably a more, it's more of a serious conversation opposed to like a like a warm and fuzzy kind of conversation. Does that make sense?
SPEAKER_04Because you Yeah, and I think where that might become not an issue, but where that might become a more I I don't think that's an awkward conversation if you're making friends in the pool. Yeah. Right? I don't think that's an awkward conversation at if you're getting to know people and you're becoming friends with people. Where it might be more difficult is if an orgy is about to happen.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And I can give an example of something like that that kind of happened to me. Me and this girl were about to engage, and you know, as we were getting undressed and we were standing there, she was like, hey, I just want to show you this. And she had an ingrown hair and she showed it to me, you know, in the light. So you see, she was like, I just wanted you to see this. It's an in-grown hair. I'm embarrassed, it looks like crap, but you know, I have a clean test. I'll be happy to show it to you. Um, I just wanted you to know. So if you went down there, you didn't get uneasy. Easy. I was like, okay, great. Thank you so much for sharing that with me because she she's probably right. If I went down and saw that, you know, there's a probably a part of me that was like, oh shit, you know, and it wasn't like on her pussy lips, it was, you know, at the top, kind of where the hair grows, but like I would have seen it. And it was a nice thing that she did, you know, it just kind of eliminated that that worry. Like she pulled me aside at the moment. And so, like, if if this was the case, like if you're going into a playground with a couple and you're, you know, you have the intentions of doing something, you know, regardless of what it is, that might be a good opportunity to be like, hey, and even if it's not on your genitals, you know, it could be like just on your buttocks or your legs or whatever. You could be like, hey, I just want to let you know I have this word, I don't know how to say it, but you know, it it looks explaining what it is. Yeah, it looks like it looks like this, but it's benign, you're fine. I just I just wanted you to know I didn't want you to see it and get, you know, a little taken back. Like because I don't I'm assuming because he's saying cruise that if he takes his shirt off, you can see it. That's why my assumption, I don't know if that's true. Um, but yeah, I mean the truth is everybody has a weird birthmark or a toenail that's kind of, you know, I mean, there's just always something. And most people in the lifestyle are pretty like normal people and they get it. You know, is there a small 10% chance that are perfect and have a six-pack ab and have no blemishes on their entire body and they are the perfect color of sunlit brown? Yes, there is a percentage of people there that are like that, but it's very few. Most of us have something, you know, you might have a zit on your ass, or you might have some cellulite, or you might have had a C-section, so you have a C-section. I mean, we all just kind of have something. And I think instead of making it a bigger deal than it has, you just kind of own it, you know. And I've we've given that advice to lots of different things on this podcast, whether it be, you know, you take a tri-mix shot, or you know, like whatever, whatever your thing is, just just just it is what it is.
SPEAKER_04Well, no, and I think 100% those things you just talked about are completely normal. Uh, people get pimples. Yeah. People get razor burn. People get uh, you know, some people are more sensitive to when they shave and they get little rashes and stuff like that, right? And so I think the best thing to do is to address that up front. Address it up front and then offer your test results, right? Because here's the thing if you offer it up front and then offer your test results, that's gonna give that person so much more peace of mind than if you don't say nothing, they engage with you while they're engaging, they happen to notice that pimple or that whatever. Now they can't. And then in their mind, they're like, oh shit. So it's probably gonna throw them off their game, which is gonna make the sex crappy, right? And then for the next week, they're gonna be worried that they've now caught something until they run and go get their own test, and then they come, you know, and then they feel and they're probably too shy or embarrassed to even say something to you and address it, or even if they do say something to you and address it, now it's awkward and weird. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_01So, like so it's just better off to say, hey, I'm not sure where this is going, but I'm vibing with you and I'm I'm totally down. So look, I can I just get this out of the way. Here are my test results. I have this, I get these blisters, they're benign, they're fine. I just it's just in case, you know, I don't know whether it hits.
SPEAKER_04And if it looks nothing like an STI, maybe, you know, just explaining it probably enough. Yeah, but I would say the smart thing to do in all whether you have a pimple, a razor burn, a rash, or you know, whatever the thing is, being able to say, hey, look, here's my test from last week, that's great. You know what I mean? And it's another great reason to get tested is because we listen, we all get pimples in weird places sometimes. It just fucking happens.
SPEAKER_01I give them when I have a lot of sex. Yeah, I mean, I think there's just moisture and there's like a lot of stuff going on.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I don't know how many times me and Lacey have compared pimples and been like, does that look weird? Should what should I do? Should I say something about that? Like, is that that's just normal. That happens.
SPEAKER_01If I sit on the side of a hot tub, like at HEDO or Secret, I know I try not to get in hot tubs because uh it throws my pH off, but sometimes I'll put like my feet in and put my like ass on if if I get too hot, it's um I break out in like a heat rash on my ass. And it looks and it looks like pimples, but it's actually just a heat rash. And it's it's not anything, it's just I got too hot next to the so we all you know how many times I have DoorDash cortisone cream to secrets to clear that up so that way the next day when I go to the pool, it's not there. So many times, you know, or send a text out. Was it anybody have any cortisone cream?
SPEAKER_04Because fucking chlorine is making me break out.
SPEAKER_01Chlorine made me break out, you know. So and all this to say, just own it. And I think the experience that you're getting from people that you've already played with is probably gonna be the experience that you get um, you know, at on the Bliss Cruise. The truth is on the Bliss Cruise, you don't see a whole lot of complete nakedness either. So, like if you want to leave your bottoms on, that's fine. You know, like at HEDO, everybody has to be naked, so that's different. But on Bliss, you don't see a whole lot of full nude. There are some, yes. But so where would you feel confident in? You know, you don't have to push it if you don't want to.
SPEAKER_04And I guarantee it's the a way bigger deal to you than it is to everybody else.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I agree.
SPEAKER_04That's always the case. We always are our worst critics, we always overanalyze and overthink uh things, and I I promise you it's just when you do talk it over with people, you're gonna be like, why was I even worried about that? That that was all that all that nervousness for no reason.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, I agree.
SPEAKER_04Because that's that's pretty typical.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04All right, does that answer that question? That's it. Nailed it. Yeah, thank you for listening to the Swing Nation podcast. You can pull your panties up now. Uh okay. Yeah. If you have a Tuesday talk question, we would love to hear from you. There's a few different ways you can get a hold of us. You can send us an email to theswing nation at gmail.com or you can call or text. Not call. Yeah, call. It's like not call. You can call and leave a voicemail. We're not gonna answer.
SPEAKER_01Uh you can call or text, and that phone number is 972-302-7716.
SPEAKER_04Uh speaking of, we've been seeing, we've been getting your pictures.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_04We've got some interesting, there's been some interesting piercings. Um, there was a Coke can recently. Was it Coke?
SPEAKER_01It was Diet Coke.
SPEAKER_04Was Diet Coke or was it like a an energy drink? Was it like a narrow can? No. It's a full, a full can.
SPEAKER_01We've got some soft dicks.
SPEAKER_04Soft dicks. Yeah. You like a soft dick or you would prefer it to be hard?
SPEAKER_01I'd prefer it to be hard.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that's what I would think.
SPEAKER_01Cutting soft, hairy dicks.
SPEAKER_04Soft hairy dicks.
SPEAKER_01No, yeah. This is a I I'm looking.
SPEAKER_04Is that a coke can or it almost looked like a what's that? Cellulus or cellulose. What's those? That's what it looked like to me. I didn't zoom in though.
SPEAKER_01I'm zoomed in. Um I want to be careful. I don't want to. Um I it could be a Celsius. I don't know. But um impressive. Yeah, it was very impressive.
SPEAKER_04I like the text that came in with. I don't think you did you even respond to that person? You should respond. Um, I like that they were like, I hope you don't mind we sent you this this Coke can picture.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we're a little she didn't say Coke can. She said, Hope this isn't too much, but my husband and I get a bit wild sometimes. Hope you like it.
SPEAKER_04I like it.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna say Dan Dan said he likes it.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I do. I like you know, I'm a dirty, I'm a dirty guy. I think if you're you know, if you want to put a coke can in your thing, that's are they responding right now?
SPEAKER_01No, I was just waiting. I didn't know what I didn't know what you were about to ask for.
SPEAKER_04I was saying I I don't mind stuff like that.
SPEAKER_01I don't says the guy who doesn't carry the phone around.
SPEAKER_04True. But you'll show if if we get anything good, you'll show me.
SPEAKER_01I think I sent you one today.
SPEAKER_04You sent me one?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Or I mean I showed it to you. I showed it to you. You did? Yeah, you just hadn't looked at it yet. Oh, yeah. Okay, okay. You're gonna have to see it later.
SPEAKER_04Okay, yeah. So we're we're getting those. That's interesting. It's uh so yeah, thank shout out to Coke and Lady. I appreciate you. Uh all right, anything else?
SPEAKER_01That's it.
SPEAKER_04All right, guys. I think with that, in a world full of apples.
SPEAKER_01Be the pineapple.
