Naughty N'awlins Part 2: Parades, Parties & Pure Chaos | Episode 255

Naughty N’awlins Part 2 is here—and Dan and Lacy are wrapping up their unforgettable trip to New Orleans with even more wild stories, meaningful moments, and nonstop partying.

Yeah, we had just finished the beach party.

We had just finished uh the beach party, which was Friday afternoon. Um, and we were getting ready to go outside to start the um parade.

Yeah, in years past, they've started the parade in front of the actual hotel. But I think last year, maybe was the first year that the bulk of everyone is at the beach party. It's probably the most popular party of the week. So um they moved it to start like it's so it starts on bourbon street, like right outside of the beach. So it just kind of works out because everybody just sort of walks out into the parade.

Yeah, I would also say in previous years they haven't gone down Bourbon Street.

Um last year it did, right?

Last year was the first year that it did that and that they started this, you know, line of the state. Well, at least since we since we've been gone down, yeah, yeah.

I'm sure at some point over the years they have. Yeah, yeah.

Uh and that's definitely a different vibe. I mean, I think before we had started in front of the Aster and then like went around in front of like Colettes and kind of, you know, some of those other side streets and then came back. Um, but actually marching in a sexual freedom parade with pineapples and all of our people right down the central bourbon street is definitely an experience I know we enjoy every year. Uh, and I really like um seeing other people experience it.

Yeah, so we mentioned last week that Tara was with us and she actually walked in the parade with us, and she liked seeing her reaction to it was she was like, I think I'm getting emotional. And it very much is a very touching thing. If you've never been to Naughty in New Orleans or maybe thinking about going, I highly recommend being a part of it because it is definitely an awesome experience. Uh, so we walked out of the beach, and so every year we pass out flags, which this is like our fourth or fifth time doing it. It was actually your idea the first time, and we've just kind of continued the tradition. So we order like 500 flags or something crazy like that, and I put them in like little drawstring backpacks, and I recruit people to help me, and we literally walk the streets of Bourbon Street, passing them out. And it is such a fun experience to see kids and family, people of all ages like waving the flag that have no it's funny when they realize it's a swinger parade. Uh, but it it's a lot of fun to see that.

Yeah. So we pass it out not only to people, so we pass it out to the people in the parade. So everybody, like half the people in the parade, end up with one of these pineapple flags. And then, like you said, the extra ones, as we walk down Bourbon Street or and then eventually Canal Street and the other streets, uh, you actually pass the flags out, or we all pass the flags out to the people that are standing on the sides. And you're right, it is funny because a lot of the people that are standing on the sides, I don't think they fully understand. They just think, oh, this is a Bourbon Street parade. Like it's a Mardi Gras kind of parade. Like, oh, cool. And then they start like you can see them, like you can, if you watch them, you can literally see them start to read some of the signs and things that people are holding up. And then you hand them the flag and they see the pineapple upside down. So our flags have an upside down, like uh rainbow pineapple on them, and they look at the pineapple and you can tell it like when it clicks. Yeah, and I will be saying to be fair, there's not too many people that like ew gross and throw it down. Most of them like smile and laugh and start waving it, and it's like a positive reaction. It may be a little bit of like a humorous, like they think it's funny, but it's also usually a fairly positive reaction.

Well, I think just because New Orleans kind of lends itself to like more openness and people are just there for a good time. Yeah, you know, if you're in your hometown, I think it would be a different situation. But most people are there on vacation, just having fun, want to see all the craziness that New Orleans brings. And I think the sexual freedom parade is just kind of part of that. I do know it's funny to see the evolution of our flags because I can remember the first year I was like begging people to take it. I'm like, Will you want a flag? And they're like, no, you know. But now it's like people are coming up, like asking, can we have like people will take them home to their family and friends, you know? So it's it's kind of funny to see through the years of us passing. 100%.

The first year, I don't think we gave them all away. No. Uh now it's like we never have enough of them. And uh, yeah, like you said, people will they start seeing us passing them out and they will like come line up to get up to get a flat.

And it's kind of funny because my face is so recognizable within the community. So many people will come, they're like, I'm taking literally taking selfies and stuff while I'm passing it out. And a lot of the the business owners on Bourbon Street within like the New Orleans area are now like sliding into our DMs, wanting us to like come and film a TikTok in their um whatever their club, their like the their the Harley Davidson guy was messaging, and then he came out, you know, and he was like, Hey, I've been messaging you. I'm like, hey, so it's like really neat. And I like so we've been seeing all these pictures and stuff, and then there is some local New Orleans, it's not like uh a news thing, but it's like somebody that must have a Facebook or Instagram and they go. Yeah, it's like it's so like now seeing like all the videos and and pictures and stuff that are coming out. We've had so many friends that like send us or like tag us, they're like, I see all my friends, I see y'all. So it's really neat to kind of see it be what it is, you know, for us.

Yeah, I think this happened last year too, but even more so um this year is like you said, the bystanders are filming the parade and putting it on TikTok and social media and saying, Oh, the pineapple people are here in New Orleans this weekend, and that gets so much attention.

Yeah, and then people we know will start tagging us, or you know, like so it's really neat. It's it's very neat to see it.

Yeah, so yeah, I mean, I'm sure there, you know, those those videos on social media probably of the parade have millions of views at this point. Um, so it's good to for that to get that far out there, and it's I think it's a good thing. So it's it's not a swingers parade, it's a sexual freedom parade. Uh, I know people kind of get that confused. It's it's it's more just kind of saying, hey, we think people should be able to do what they want in the privacy of their bedroom, and the government or your boss or employers shouldn't be able to discriminate you or treat you differently because of that. And I think that's an idea that you don't have to be a swinger necessarily to believe in, and and that's why it's called the sexual freedom parade, because it's not all swingers that go to Naughty, New Orleans. There's there's nudists, there's uh BDSM type people, Polly, there's kink people, yeah, there's poly people. Um, so really the message of the parade is what consensual adults do in the privacy of their bedroom should not be influenced by outside entities, or or those people shouldn't be able to be able to be discriminated against for what they do in their bedroom. And that's really the whole idea of the parade. And I don't think there's too many people that would want to argue like, oh no, I think the government should decide what you do in the privacy of your bedroom between consenting adults. You know what I mean? Uh so I don't think it's very controversial. Um, I think that it gets a lot of attention because you the pineapple is swinging and stuff like that. But uh it's a good thing, and uh, it's really one of the highlights of Naughty New Orleans that I I enjoy every year. And like you said, it's nice to see, you know, I think the first time or two we did it, me and you got kind of emotional uh during the parade. And and it's you know, uh then uh Hump Days Quickies came for the first time and they got emotional. And then this year we had Tara for the first time.

Yeah, I feel like every year we have a different friend or something that's a part of it, and we get to see those emotions, and it's it's yeah, and Tara's been, you know, she's very public.

Uh, you know, she's part of the PTA at her kids' school, and she's gotten, you know, kickback and stuff like that because of it. She's been a big advocate person for the lifestyle. So I'm glad she got to participate at. And I'm glad it makes me, I guess, not happy, but it's nice to see that it invokes that same reaction from her of like this is a kind of a touching moment to have our community be out here and kind of loud and proud.

Um, I guess I never really understood the idea of like parades or pride parades or anything like that. This is kind of like I guess the equivalent of like a swinger pride parade.

And I I get why communities need that. It really is kind of like a almost like a healing experience.

Yeah. No, I the parade is like a highlight of of my week every year. And there are some people that go to Naughty every year and do not, they don't participate in the parade. Um, so I, you know, if that's you or if you're thinking about going, I highly recommend it. Even if you don't walk in it, just go out there and watch it, you know. I I get walking in it can, you know, there's cameras. There's we just talked about that. I get that, but just being out there and seeing it, I think is is beneficial and worth it.

Yeah. A lot of our friends that aren't public will just kind of hide in the crowds on the side of the street. So at least if they, I guess they get caught in a camera, they can say, Oh yeah, I was there, but I wasn't, yeah. I wasn't just happening to be there.

And let me add, I very publicly put myself where I'll be on camera. You know, if you know anything about me, I there's not a camera I don't love, you know. So like I walk on the side, I want my face to be seen. I want my flag in my hand. You know, I want our pineapple that's on all of our stuff to be shown. Like I I want that. I am very out and very proud. So I position myself to be front and center so those cameras can catch me. So there are ways you can be a little bit more discreet about it. For sure. If you're not, you know, an intention hog like me.

Uh no, okay. So the parade was great. So we ended the parade at the uh the afster. So it went down bourbon and kind of came around, cut back, and we ended at the uh the afster hotel.

They actually like walked into the hotel, which I don't remember them doing that in the past.

No, usually we it would end on the sidewalk in the past, yeah. But the band, so there's there is a bourbon street band that you know has all their brass instruments and it's playing that classic bourbon street, you know, Mardi Gras kind of music. Uh they went right into the hotel. Which was cool, and into one of the the downstairs ballroom uh and we kind of ended there, which was super cool.

Yeah, it was super cool. Um, and then honestly, after that, between the BH party and that, I was completely drenched in sweat. Like I'm not a sweater, but it was you know July in New Orleans, and we had, I mean, I was I was pretty fucking beat after all of that. Um but there, so at this snotty, they had a tattoo, like uh shop, shop, yeah, pop-up shop. Yeah, um, and every fucking body there got tattoos, I think except for us.

Like they were busy. And what was cool is they did like glow-in-the-dark tattoos.

They did um some of them were like BDSM-y, you know, like you know, paddles and handcuffs.

They had like more, like they had drawn up some stuff that was more swinger, you know, kink. Dildos and yeah, uh anyway, they were busy the whole time. So but Terra had made an appointment for like right after the parade. So she like we lost her, like when we walked in and we followed the band. So text, I'm like, where'd you go? She's like, I went up here to get my tattoo, and I was like, okay, so we went up and of course checked our table, um, which by Friday afternoon was wiped clean. I mean, like, I did like start not putting out as much stuff at one time to kind of make it last, but it it was basically wiped out on Friday. Um, so we, you know, we replenished our table, and then I got to see her do her tattoo. We ended up talking, you ended up talking to people, and so we stood up there for a little while, and then after that, it was back to the room to try to rest because that that had been like a pretty long day. Like we hadn't had any food really. We we were pretty beat.

Yeah. No, so we went back to the room, and uh I I don't know if we got PF Changs, but that seemed to be the trend, and honestly, it's like one of my favorite that's our swinger in between the the pool and the club kind of which is funny.

Somebody was asking us if you notice when you I do my vlogs and stuff, you'll see me. Um, we get PF chains like two out of three nights or whatever, because we get like the meat and it's like high in protein, and it you know, it's it's good, we eat well, and then because we're not eating as often as we should, and stuff like this. So yeah, we had PF chains like I think every night, but like one or two of this trip.

Well, it's and because you're door dashing, it's hard to like. I don't know, I feel like every time I get a cheeseburger, by the time I get it, it's like cold or it's you know, it's soggy or you know, whatever. So it's door dash, you certain food is good at being door-dashed and certain food isn't. And I feel like Chinese food is like one of those that's a good Door Dash food.

And if you're one, if you didn't listen to our naughty uh like prep um podcast, the reason we door dash is because we just don't have time to go sit down and eat. We love the food in New Orleans. We we try to eat out as much as possible, but during the like height of the party days, it's just impossible for us to go on a Friday night and try to like fight Bourbon Street or anywhere close to it to get a table. It would be hours. And in this case, we had like, I think the parade was over. The parade didn't start till six. So we're talking about it's like 7:30 now. And we have to be downstairs around like 10. So we don't have a lot of time, you know, and like we're exhausted. We need to like physically rest our bodies, and not to mention, like when I'm out of the room, I almost have to be on from the moment I walk out because there's a lot of people talking to me and saying something, which I love, not complaining, but I need to like rest my face, you know. I need to like stop smiling for stop smiling, scroll on my phone, not have to think, you know. So that's kind of why we DoorDash. So we try to eat out, you know, like before and then like after the all these events.

I mean, I don't care if you're talking about like Swinger Society Secrets or Electric Pleasures or or these kind of events. Uh, even a lot of the you know, the the bliss cruises left clearly, you know, food's kind of built in, but you know, you only have like a two or three hour window between the day parties and the night parties. You take an hour plus to get ready. So you really only have like an hour to chill, eat, and all that.

And I'm a big like not really napper because my medication keeps me from napping, but like I'm a big like horizontal person. Like any any minor inconvenience, I need to go lie down.

Yeah, so we usually get about an hour to lay in the bed and eat, and then you usually hop up and start getting ready, and then um I usually post a TikTok or something while you're getting ready, and then I get up and get ready.

Yeah. So um Friday night was a glow night, which in all the years that we've been going to Naughty, I don't remember a glow night. Uh, so I was pretty excited about this. Um, we got ready. We had matching outfits. If you saw our TikTok or Instagram, I thought we looked pretty cute.

They were neon outfits. Oh, sorry. They were neon outfits, but they didn't glow that much.

Uh well, I think Naughty did what we did.

Yeah, they did.

There was not a whole lot of blacklights.

But even the couple times we were in the black lights, they didn't really seem to pop.

But yeah, I think they they could have done more black light, which is crazy because they have a ton, but yeah, ride.

If you listen to our Electric Pleasures, I think it was it Atlanta or Gulf Breeze, I think it was Chattanooga. Chattanooga, yeah. The last one, Chattanooga, yeah. We had a glow night, and then we brought a whole box of neon or uh black lights to put out for glow night, and we forgot. We just got busy and we forgot to put them out.

And people were like, Your glow night wasn't very glowy. Well, Naughty had a glow night, and it wasn't very and their lights never they didn't put out additional bullets.

Or at least not that we saw that I saw that we saw. Um, but it also our outfits weren't super glow, but we looked cute, yeah. And I had a glow purse, which was really cool.

Um, it it was a great, it was a great night. The wifey staff came. So if you don't know, you know, I shopped for wifey back in the fall. My scene came out in February. And last year is where we met wifey and how like the whole discussion about me joining um them started. Last year they did like a whole like booth, the whole thing. This year they went a little bit more low-key. So they had what?

I feel like they went super low-key. I barely saw them the whole weekend.

Well, they had Serenity, yeah Cox, who's a you know, a really big porn star, and Jason Love, which again Yeah, I mean they brought out the celebrities for sure. But they just didn't host like a booth, they were just what they didn't even have a table.

But they had their recruiting team, so I think they were just walking around talking to people. If they saw people that kind of fit what they were looking for, they would strike up conversations.

They needed a static table that they should have put outside the club and like hung out the hour or so before.

Probably, but you know, yeah, not our problem.

But they are super nice, yeah. Yeah, so Serenity Cox is one of the nicest humans like on the planet.

Yeah, so she's always saying thank you and and sorry. Uh and she's just very she's not what you'd think. She's not what you would think of a porn star. She is like that. She looks like a mom's door mom.

Uh our friends, Big Sexy and his wife, had the like entire VIP on one side in the EDM room, like the whole week. Um, which was clutch because it kind of like raised you above the crowd, and it it was nice. It was like you could put your phone down, your purse down, your cup down. It was really nice.

So yeah, I felt a little bit like a mooch because we it's like one of the only times we didn't pay for a VIP and were in one basically the whole weekend. But also, that was kind of nice because usually we're the ones that pay the bill for you.

No, but I did tell him I was like, next year, do not pay for this whole thing. Yeah, I was like, let me help you. He was like, No, no, like for real though, let me help you.

Well, he's probably already bought it. That's the thing, is we're probably we're probably not on the ball enough because I bet you have to get that thing like the first day.

No, I was on the ball. I added it to my card. I'm not even gonna lie, I did, but I didn't know if everyone would be in there, and so I like I just didn't, and it was not cheap.

Do you know for next year? Yeah, oh I they they just released this year's like they just released naughty this year's, like a month before. Gotcha, gotcha. Yeah, it's like a later thing. Um but no, I I just didn't know, you know, like if if it would work out now, I know, so next year I'll keep an eye out or I'll text him.

Yeah, that's a new, I think they've only been doing that for a couple years where they put those those uh raised platforms up there.

So next year, I'm gonna I'll miss I'll message him before. But if you're wondering, if you need if you're like one of those people that just like to have a space, highly recommend it. And in the top 40 room, it's tables. So like an EDM EDM room, you're kind of raised above everyone, which is kind of gives like a cool vibe. But top 40, you can just have an assigned table, which is also nice because you could put your stuff there and then you don't have to worry about it.

So yeah, it is nice to have a space that you know where you could sit down and put your stuff.

Yeah. So uh we partied for a while and had a great time. So I didn't I didn't talk about this earlier, but earlier in the day, I had received a Snapchat from one of our friends that was there, and the female, and she was like, Hey, do you know these two couples? Well, I'm not great at names. I'm gonna be honest with you. I'm like, maybe, I don't know. I'm like, are they here? And she's like, Yeah, you know, and she's so she sent me like a screenshot of them. I was like, Oh yeah, yeah. She was like, Well, they like casually mentioned that they were into y'all, and I thought, hey, let's just like let's be a matchmaker and make this happen, which listen, love her for this, you know, because we're not great at this, which is kind of crazy that we should be better at this than we are. So anyway, she was like, Do y'all want to play tonight? And I was like, Hell yeah, we do. You know, I well, I should obviously I consulted with Dan and he was like, Yeah. So I was like, Yeah, sure, yeah, let's do that. So at some point in the night, we were like chatting, and you and the one wife were like, you were you flirting with her because you didn't have a connection with her? Is that what it was?

Yeah, so this is an interesting play situation for us because normally when we go into play situations, it's all our friends. Yeah. Right. And and maybe there's like one new couple, but for the most part, it's all of our friends that we've known and we've played with.

And it's usually like we just kind of end up there. It's not like planned. Yeah.

In this situation, one of the couples was our friend, but we'd only really played with that that couple that we we've known them for years, but we I think we'd only play with them maybe one or two times. Ever.

Yeah, but we've been around them quite a few times. We've only played. I think we've only played one time.

And then the other two couples we'd never had. Yeah. Never played with them.

Um one only one ended up coming to the playroom. Or we didn't go to the playroom. We went to one of their rooms. So only one of the couples, I don't know where the other one was, but it was supposed to be three couples, right? No, four couples, four couples. So we started our day with we were hosting our party at Boot Scoot and Rodeo at noon. Um, but you wanted to be there at like 11.

Uh, usually we get line dancing going, and the girls are like line dancing topless. Uh the bar has all these cool like pair areas for pictures and photos.

So I felt like if I played a game up on the stage, it would like pull people off the dance floor. I think it was fine, and I was like, I don't want to like people are down there dancing and having fun. Like, I don't want to pull from that. So I think we played like one game early on, and I gave away some merch, and I was like, I'm just gonna, you know, I played all the games at the beach, so I was like, well, let's let it ride.

So yeah, after our party, both Bliss Cruise and Secrets had parties going on. So we're like, well, let's go, let's go support our friends.

So we went into Secrets, and so Secrets Party was at the Rezu, which is another really good club. It's probably up there with the beach as far as bars um on Bourbon Street. We ended up on stage, we were passing out shots, giving I don't know what happened. People, I don't know. You can explain to me how this happened.

So if you're standing on the stage, you look to the left, there's a bar to the far left of uh or uh an actual bar, like where they serve alcohol on the far left, and then on the opposite side, there's a bar on the far right. But the bar is like elevated and then it drops down to the dance floor and then it raises back up to the bar on the other side, right? So you're kind of it's like a dropped-in dance floor that's in the center with the stage, and the two bars are raised on either side of the bar, right? So I look at Nick and I said, get her to go get on one of those bars, and we'll have her surf across the entire bar, right? So she stands on the bar and then she falls into the crowd. They pass her across the bar, but not only across, they have to drop her, she has to drop down a level into the dance floor and then get raised back up a level to get out the other side.

So they did this wet t-shirt contest, and the idea is whoever wins the wet t-shirt contest gets a four free four-day weekend at Secrets, you know, which that's you know, 1500 bucks or something at least. So, like, that's a pretty good prize, you know. And then the idea is you had to have a secrets, the the secrets t-shirts were white. And and then they had 20 of these rubber ducks that had secrets logos on them, right? And so if you had a t-shirt, the girls had to get the t-shirts and the rubber duck, and if you had one of each, you could get on stage to participate, right? And they threw these rubber ducks out into the crowd, right? Uh, so all these girls get up and they do this wet t-shirt contest. It it was more of like a get naked and wet t shirt contest. Like they had like a baby pool, yeah. There was vaginas and asses and titties. It wasn't just t-shirts, but uh you know, most of the clothes came off at some point, and then they had these baby pools, and they're spraying these girls down with like fire water things, like a pump like water things.

You all get a free four-day weekend.

I'm like, fuck these people will take anything, yeah. So we just start grabbing.

They were at the swamp, which is right next door.

I'm like, that looks like housewife or hot wife, hot wife, I think. Yeah, I keep saying housewife. Um, I was like, I think that's her, but I didn't know, and so I didn't say anything. And then we were like, we only were there for like maybe 20 minutes. Like we kind of came in, said hello, and I danced a little, and some of our friends kind of followed in and they danced, and then we were like, I was like, we have we have to go. Like, we we've got to rest. So we ended up going back to the room shortly after that. They ended up being there because I saw that on Instagram later, and I got to meet her, which was fun. Um super nice, so nice, super hot. Yeah, um, so yeah, so we came back after both parties. We came back to the room, rested, had dinner. We did not have P.F. Chains this night. I think we had we had chicken.

Well, you put it on and you started like complaining, you're like, oh, it's too, and I'm like, you know you don't like like it was a full neck like thing and it was long sleeve, and I'm like, Lacey, we've been doing this long enough, you know that's I get pretty overstimulated, pretty easy at swinger parties, so I've kind of learned over the years to not put as much, but I also like being extra and have all the accessories and all this stuff, so I'm having to find a balance, but I guess when I tried it on at home, it just didn't even dawn on me that that would be an issue. Um, but I knew that I'm not gonna be in this outfit for a whole long time. Um but we did, we went, uh, we took pictures and then we got to meet the country um hot wife, she was lovely, and her husband.

It was a good thing. A great party.

So um, but I I think we ended up staying longer than I think we had planned on.

Yeah, like I I think I actually went back earlier, took that outfit off because I couldn't handle it. And then we came back, and then I thought you had left. And then like I you were like, I'm leaving, and then I kept finding you. You were with a girl, I don't know who it was.

Secrets crushed it, and then yeah, it was just it was fun. All right, yeah. So eventually, I don't know, it was like one, one thirty. I ended up going back to the room, getting my USBs and stuff, and you know, just chillaxing for a minute and then heading down to the after party. So I think they called it after glow. And if you don't know, that was in the downstairs ballroom. So if like you come down the escalators there in the Aster, at the very bottom there's a ballroom, and they use that ballroom. I think they they do different live music in there. It's you know, uh it's part of the area where they where you in process, you know, where you check in when you first get there and stuff like that. But they had that closed off, and that was the after hours room this year. Last year it was they called it the speakeasy, and it was up in some of the suites in the hotel. And the last year, uh it was pretty busy for like the after parties. Yeah, this year, almost every time we had gone past the after party, it was dead in there.

Which you've always been like, it's not necessary. I fucking disagree. Yeah I thought it made it a whole vibe in there last year. They didn't have that this year. I mean, they had lights. Like, part of my plan is this the EDM room up, you know, the so the ballrooms upstairs on the second floor close at 2 a.m., right? So what I'm hoping is, well, as everybody filters out of those ballrooms to go to leave, they're gonna have to come down that escalator. They're gonna see our party. Yeah, so if I can get all of our friends in there and get a party going a little bit, we'll suck everybody in, right? So then when he says he's not closing the ballroom, he's gonna keep it going. I'm like, well, there goes my whole plan. Like now they're just gonna stay up there, and it's gonna be hard to draw everybody down.

So me and Justin, the plan, this this after hour set was supposed to be me and Justin doing a back-to-back, right? So I plug, you know, there's this DJ there, he's like, You guys got it? We're like, Yeah, we're good. I plug my USB in. And then like some of the buttons aren't working, and I'm like, I don't know what to do because I'm not familiar with this equipment. So I'm like half panicking, trying to get the music going. Justin plugs his, he plays off a laptop because he's more of like a club DJ and he likes to have his deep, you know, and he plugs his laptop in and it's like drivers not found, like so. His laptop's not working. Oh no, so like I plug my music in and my shit's not working. So there was like, I don't know if it was obvious to you, but I had no idea to right now. Like two or three minutes of us getting the music going was like us panicking.

Okay, so I could tell, okay, so the DJ that he snuck in is filthy frequency. So if you've heard us talk about him, he he he plays at EP, he's played at Swinger City, he's very like deep. Uh I don't dub dubstep, yeah. So anyway, I could see his face, and I I thought something was wrong. I I I I didn't know what you just said, I had no idea. I thought he was just very nervous. No, and so what ended up happening is every DJ that DJ'd ended up in this room. So my understanding was filthy frequency was supposed to start, and but I looked up there, and that that's just me kind of, and there's like 15 DJs over there, you know, and I'm exaggerating. There's probably like eight. Yeah, but I'm like, why isn't he starting? You know, so I like I thought that was what was happening.

So the plan was that I had this is the unofficial plan. Yeah, you know, so on the the schedule, it has me and for that two-hour set two to four, it's got me and um Justin. Justin going back to back. And I and so Filthy Frequency is a dubstep DJ. We, you know, was not on the schedule, was not approved DJ, so to speak. But I was like, I'm gonna sneak him in there for like the last 30 minutes. Yeah, and like just let him like blow the lid off for like the last 30 minutes that makes more sense, yeah. Of this set, right? But then me and Justin try to jump on, my shit's not working, his shit's not working. I get a song going, but I can't transition it to the other decks. And then luckily, like you said, all the DJs just showed up. So Sereno and uh you know, was there at first, yeah. And so he's a real DJ and he knows how to use the equipment. I'm like, Serena, what the hell? So he helps me like get the buttons adjusted so that my tracks all sync up and stuff.

And then I'll like talk to the lighting guy. I'm like, hey, you got a microphone? He's like, nah, I ain't gonna like right. I'm I don't have one. And B Smooth is like, I got one in my room, I'll be right back. So he literally disappears, goes to his room, comes back with a microphone, and then plugs that thing in. And then he starts like MCing and being the hype guy, which he's amazing at way better than I am.

I'm like, can you get me a bottle? And he's like, All right, I'll get you a bottle. So when we showed up downstairs, there was a bottle of Patron just sitting on the floor underneath the DJ booth. That's a I assume that came from Bob. I don't know where I don't know if like maybe Justin snuck it in. I don't know if one of the other DJs snuck it in or if it was from Bob, but there was a bottle of Patron under the DJ booth.

And so he's like the and I swear y'all, he is a star. If you've never seen him in person, I highly recommend it. He's so good and so humble and so sweet, and his wife is adorable, and I just I love them so much.

Yeah, yeah. So when we met him, he yeah, like you said, he he played at Secrets a lot, and his room would get packed, and there'd you there'd be a little after party like in his room, but he had never you know played out at a public menu in an event before. Uh, and so when we started Electric Pleasures with the idea of EDM kind of being, you know, he's a dubstep DJ, that's what he plays. That, you know, traditionally you would have I would have thought that's not gonna go over at a a typical swingers party. Uh we have proved otherwise because we've put him on stages at Secrets now, we've put him on stages at Naughty and New Orleans, and people go the fuck off when he starts uh dropping the dubstep stuff. So uh I think if as long as you time those sets right, I think they can hit and and hit in a big way. And and he's done it consistently now for us uh at event after event, and Naughty New Orleans was no exception. When he got up there and started throwing down, I mean people were so proud of him.

Like almost like I I think he's older than me, but I felt like a big sister, you know, like a like a proud mom, like or something. Like I was very I mean, like obviously I'm proud for you and some of that, like you got your EDM set in the main bar, which was I felt very similar to that, but like knowing that he wasn't even really supposed to be there and just kind of put him up there and it hit so well. I mean, not that I had any doubts, I didn't, um, but it it was just it was great. And it it we was it the same magic as the year before? No, but was it just as amazing in a different way?

Yes, yeah, no, that's what I would say. Yeah, it was I mean, that ballroom was for that two hours was pretty friggin' bananas. Uh, and the funny thing is it was supposed to end at four and it was still packed, and I just we just kept playing, and then eventually the lighting guy's like, hey man, I gotta start breaking down. Yeah, and I was like, All right, because Bob had told you you could go Yeah, I talked to Bob earlier and he's like, I'm like, what time do we gotta shut down? He's like, Oh, they don't start breaking down the ballroom till 9 a.m. You could go as late as you want, and I was like, Cool, man. And then the lighting guy's like, I gotta go to bed and I gotta start breaking down. And I was like, Oh shit, I didn't really think about him having to be there. And you know, he couldn't, I guess he could have just shut the lights off, but like that'd be weird, you know. So I was like, Can you give me to 4 30? He's like, Yeah, so we kept it going until about 4 30 in there.

So I went up probably like at 4 15. Uh, I just like at some point I was just done. I did, I was just like, peace out. Oh god. Literally, at one point I was eating cherry, gummy bears, and drinking a Dr. Pepper. Yeah, and somebody was like, Are you okay? And I was like, Yeah. And they're like, Are you really okay? I'm like, Yeah, I'm really, I was just I think it was like I was done, I was touched out, I was talked out, I was, you know, like we it had been a long fucking day. Yeah, so I went up probably like 15 minutes before you, and then you came up. And so, you know, we didn't go to bed till like 5 a.m.

And so we were supposed to check out originally um Sunday, and I we extended it to Monday, which we kind of knew going into it that I knew it was.

With having that closing set, we knew that it was gonna be awfully hard to get out of bed uh Sunday.

It's not gonna be safe for you to drive and get us out of there. It's kind of like a you know, quite the opposite goal to get us out of there. So we so you know, we're kind of pushing our time here, but just to kind of sum it up, we slept the majority of the day Sunday. So like three or so. I mean, we were we didn't sleep solid. We woke up and kind of and then Tara had wanted to go and get her kids some souvenirs and stuff like that. So we I was like, okay, I'm getting my ass up. So we we went and had like um some local food, which we love. The crab oil food. Yeah, it was very good, uh, suggested to us by Justin Time and his beautiful wife, they're local, so we got a local recommendation. And then we did a couple of we hit a couple of shops that we wanted to, and then we went to Cafe Dumont, walked around a little, came back, napped some more. Our goal was to pack, but we did not do that. So we got up Monday morning, packed, and got out of there. And it was actually very, very easy. We left like an hour before checkout because Tara's checkout was an hour before ours. Um, so we we left our hotel an hour early, and that was the sweet spot.

Yeah, I definitely uh arriving early, leaving late is definitely the way to do Naughty New Orleans uh if you can if your schedule allows it. Um that that would be my preference going forward, I think, is to lock that in. Um but yeah, had a great Naughty New Orleans. Um I feel like I don't know, I feel like every year we get more involved, and and I feel like we're involved in like bigger ways, you know what I mean?

Yeah, so we actually did less this year, uh, but we had a fucking blast. Um and we were talking to Mandy that it works with us, and she was like talking about how her and her husband had major FOMO. And I was, you know, we were I was like, you know, last year we did too much, and this year we just had fun. Do we do we work? Yes, but we had so much fun. And like our friends were like, y'all just seem like you're having a blast. And we genuinely were. We also had the month off before, so we were coming off of like a month break. We came off of like our burnout episode. Um, like, and I can remember about halfway through Naughty thinking, I don't want it to be over. Like, like Thursday night, you know, I was like, Oh, it's our tomorrow's already Friday. I don't that's what I want, you know. That's what this is supposed to be, but you know, and so I hope to kind of continue that moving forward. Uh it was this naughty was much needed, a breath of fresh air, genuinely enjoyed it. And like I'm we already booked for next year. Yeah, I already went ahead and and booked because they released it like the day like Sunday, I think it was or Monday. And it it sold out by April of last year. That was three hotels that sold out. So, like if you want to stay at that main hotel, highly recommend you go ahead and book it. Um, it just gets bigger and bigger every year, and we're gonna be there every year because it's it's that awesome.

Yeah, it really is the closest thing to like a national convention for the lifestyle. And I think so. For me and Lacey, you know, being part of the community, uh, being able to be there with people like Secrets and Bliss Cruz and Naughty and some of these other club owners and hotel takeover owners and NCSF and you know, everybody else. You know, even like wifey comes out, you know. So it's it is it almost, you know, it's a convention, but to us it almost feels like a family reunion. You know what I mean? Yeah. It really that's that's the kind of vibes it gives me. It's like a big family, lifestyle family reunion every year. Uh, so I'd highly recommend it. It's so unique, you know, the the day parties on Bourbon Street, every one of them is different, every one of them is hosted by different people, and then into the night parties, you know, the best playrooms, some of the best DJs come out. We only take about 20 to 30 couples every year, so it's definitely a little bit smaller. And the whole resort is like maybe 250 or something. 250 room. So it's definitely a more chill, smaller event that we go to. Um, and so we really get to get to know people and chat and have a really good time.
