Hedo Part 1: Lacy's Unexpected Solo Adventure | Episode 258

This trip to Hedonism II definitely didn’t start the way Lacy imagined.

After a family emergency meant Dan had to stay home, Lacy suddenly found herself facing a Hedo trip without her usual partner-in-crime. Thankfully, friends Mike and Daphne were able to jump in at the last minute and join her for the adventure.

In Part I of this Hedo recap, Lacy sits down with Mike and Daphne to talk about those first few days in Jamaica — from working through the disappointment of Dan not being there to finally deciding that if she was already at Hedo, she might as well make the absolute most of it.

They break down their first impressions of the resort, days spent hanging out at the pool, trying the different restaurants, and checking out the club… including one very memorable detail they couldn’t ignore: what was that smell?! 

And then there’s Lacy’s hotel room, where apparently the adult movie channel became the official background noise for the entire trip. Because when in Hedo, right?

But underneath all the laughs, Lacy also opens up about something she hadn’t really had to navigate before: playing without Dan. Even though opportunities presented themselves — and she was invited to the playroom more than once — the first couple of nights, she just wasn’t ready. Lacy talks candidly about the nerves, hesitation, and internal debate that came with figuring out what she was comfortable doing on her own.

Did she eventually find her Hedo groove? Did she make it into the playroom? And just how wild did this trip get once she started settling in?

So I had a little family emergency come up. And because of that, I was not able to make it. And so then there was kind of a scramble because it was like the week of Hito of what do we do?

We tried to find um another couple maybe to go in our place. Yeah. Um, but again, because it was the week of, all of those were very difficult. Uh and then also we didn't really want to disappoint the people that had booked through us. Correct. So we kind of advertised HETO as come to HETO with us.

So I reached out to them, you know, early that week, you know, so they had a couple of days' notice. It wasn't like 24 hours notice. They did have a couple of days and said, Hey, is this possible? Can you make this work? And basically they were like, We think so. And so once we kind of decided, okay, they're gonna go in Dan's place, it we you and I had to have some like pretty big conversations about that.

Yeah. Cause then it became, okay, well, you're going without me. Well, what does that mean?

Uh and I was actually pretty open in the and we'll talk about it a little more as it goes, but uh we were like, okay, well, you can go. And I was basically like, basically, the couples that I know and I'm comfortable with, especially the guys that I know and uncomfortable with, I would prefer that you just stick to those people. I have no problem with you engaging and and having sex with uh with people while you're there. Um, but I would just my only ask was that you kept it to the people that we knew. And there actually was a pretty decent group of people.

Yeah, we had a good amount of friends going. There was a couple exceptions to that, but I did not.

So Daphne and Daddy Mike have been on the podcast before, but I think it was like one of the first five. Many moons ago. So it's probably been years, three, three, four years since uh long time ago.

Uh I was just happy to be pulled off the bench within the game.

Because you actually had to take off work, Mike. Uh Daffy is is now doing content creation full time. So it was easy for her, but you, you had to, you had to take off work. Y'all had to find someone to keep your dog, all the things.

So yeah, but I mean, for for us, it was a no-brainer. We're like, hey, you know, of course, you know, I didn't want Lacey to go alone. Um, so we were just like, hey, free trip to Jamaica, we're in. So it didn't take too much to pull pull us in that direction. So uh we, yeah, of course, we we were like, we're gonna make it work.

So yeah, it was it was yeah, it it took some you know begging at work, but they're cool, they're cool. So it's uh it was pretty easy, you know.

Uh okay, so that takes us basically to the trip. So that's the kind of the preamble there. Um, and then as far as the trip goes, uh it actually worked out.

Um our flights were actually booked through Atlanta just randomly, really because I could get a direct flight from Atlanta to Montego Bay. So it worked out. That's the only reason, like we had no idea all this was gonna happen. Right.

So it was kind of already in our pre-plan to go to Atlanta, spend the night probably with Daphne and Daddy Mike, and then fly out ourselves from Atlanta to go to Eto. Uh so the fact that uh I couldn't go, and then you you could and and they could.

Um there was still flights on our flight, so they literally got to be on the same flight, and it was like everything just kind of worked out the way it was supposed to.

So we drove to Atlanta, spent the night with Daphne and Daddy Mike, and then I took you all to the airport and sent you off the next day, and then went and did what I had to do. I I we probably should know. So in the past, when we've had family things come up, we've gone in pretty detail about those things. I think maybe maybe learned a hard lesson by doing that. And that you know, me and Lacey put ourselves out there and we share a lot about our lives, and we've kind of signed up to do that. But our family, our kids, you know, other people that are important to us have not signed up to do that. And so we've decided not to put any of their information out publicly. So we're not gonna give too much details on what's going on, you know, with my family and stuff like that. Everybody's okay. Yeah, and for everybody that reached out and was concerned, thank you for that. Um, but we're not gonna go into details about what that is, and that's that's just to protect basically people that are close to us that haven't volunteered to put their information out on the internet. Yeah. Um, anyway, you guys get on a plane, you head to Jamaica, I go do what I have to do um to take care of my family. Uh, and I guess that that's you guys take over from there.

Okay. Dan was like, do I just get off the podcast? I was like, no, anywhere. I want you to ask questions and like because like, yes, we talked the whole time, and I think you kind of basically knew what I was doing, you know, the whole time. But I think you like hearing the stories and asking questions and being a part of this is important.

So luckily, we did not have an early flight. So we flew out. So typical HEDO trip, if you do it with like a group, it's typically Saturday to Saturday. In the past two years, Dan and I have left on Friday. So that way, Saturday is everyone's arriving. We're there to greet them. So Daphne, Mike, and I left Friday. About I think our flight was like at one something.

Yeah, it wasn't bad at all. Uh Dan let us out, and you know, we were on our way. So I pecked terribly. I think because I was just kind of overwhelmed with the fact that I was going by myself and you know, without not by myself, but without Dan. So, like I had one whole bag of swag bag stuff, and then I had three suitcases. So poor Mike, you know, he had his one little baby bag and his book bag, and then me, and then Daphne had two bags, and then I had three bags and the swag bag. So we had seven bags between the three of us, and bless his heart, he did a good job though, trying to get us, you know, through the airport. Luckily, like when you let us out of the car dan, there was a guy there who just was helpful, like he helped carry everything in. Oh, really? Yeah, so we got lucky there. And then once we landed in Jamaica, we did Club Mobay, or at least uh we thought we did, right, Mike?

Yeah, I did. I did on the wrong day.

Yeah, so because everything was like last minute, I was like, Well, I have Club Mobay, and my explain that what that is. Club Mobay is a service that you can get. I they I know they have it in Jamaica. I think there's another airport somewhere that they do it, but basically you pay and they walk you through like customs, they get your luggage, they take you to your car, you have a uh a lounge. Uh, when you go to leave, you have your own security line.

Um, it you basically are like handheld like VIP escorted through security and customs, yeah.

Correct. So me and you had that. So once you know, we it was determined that Mike and Daphne were going with me. Mike ended up going online and booking it, but he accidentally booked it for Saturday to Saturday instead of Friday to Saturday. But the lady was super nice, she was super nice, and they were able, she just took all of our stuff, and they ended up give I didn't think they would give me a credit, but they ended up emailing me and giving me a credit for next year for you, yeah, which I was super grateful for. I didn't expect that, you know. Um, but you know, Mike was helping the lady get our bags off of the cart. He almost died. Like, what happened, Mike? Did the the bag get like caught in the like little what what happened? I just know you got ripped back or something.

Yeah, remember when the suitcase got caught caught on you and you it pulled you back?

Yeah, I mean it basically I'm trying to get all these bags out for these women. It's like never-ending bag, it's like a bunch of clowns coming out of a clown car bags.

Well, and what's funny is all of me and Daphne's are all some shade of pink, and then my sky is little his little brown or blue or black, I can't remember. So, anyway, um, we did all of that, got our car, and started riding Tejito. I think this is really so I didn't talk about it, but the plane ride over was really the hardest time for me. Daphne, luckily, Daphne had like we talked the lady next to me and she sat by me. So we made Mike sit by himself. Yeah, but I ended up crying, like and then I ended up throwing up, which because I took Excedron on an empty stomach and it made me sick or something. I I don't know.

You were crying and throwing up on the flight to Jamaica. Yes, yeah, but you didn't share that with me.

It wasn't as dramatic as that sounds, though. Was it dramatic?

She handled it like a pro. Like I I would I just could sense that she was not okay. And so every n every now I didn't want to be too much, I didn't want to draw attention to it. So I would just pat her and just rub her back and just you know, let her cry a little bit, and and then all of a sudden she's like, I'm getting sick. And so I'm looking around for the the barf bag and I'm trying to hold it over there for her, and and then she hands me the barf.

You probably just thought you had like flight fears or something like that.

Yeah, so it was really two things. I got upset because on Delta you have free internet, so I I'm seeing you start texting all of our friends because at this point nobody knew that no you weren't going. So, but on the flight overs when you started sending the text to our friends that we know really well, you put a message in the Discord channel, so it came, even though I'm like in the air and you're not on the plane, so it's very real, but for some reason, like you sending those texts made it very real. And I just I don't know, I think I just started tearing up and I was sad. Well, but during that time I take I had a headache, so I'd taken some medicine, and I think because I took medicine on an empty stomach, then if you know me at all, I throw up like over nothing, like it doesn't matter, the wind can shift and I can throw up. So me crying and me throwing up did not have anything to do with each other, but it just it just is what it is. But Daphne was a great sport and helped me, and it was fine, it really wasn't that big of a deal.

Yeah, so uh what car did they bring to bring you from the airport?

It was like a van.

Okay, because I can remember when we figured out that I wasn't gonna be able to go and that uh Daphne and Daddy Mike were gonna go with you. I remember being concerned about they might need a bus to get all of your luggage and all of Daphne's luggage.

So shout out to Mandy, who works for us. Uh, she had handled all of that, so she's the one that let Topless Travel know. So they like our car arrangement had been adjusted, our room, everything had been adjusted for Daphne and Mike. So thank goodness this wasn't like a cruise or something because the cruise they closed the manifesto like a week before, so we would have been screwed. But in this case, everybody was more than accommodating to help us get everything switched over. Yeah. So driving over was probably the first time I realized how much I missed you because and I text you in the car because whenever we're driving to heat, or anytime we're in any kind of taxi, Uber, anything, you talk to everyone, and it is so annoying to me. I'm like, just shut the fuck up, let me rest. And it was so quiet in that car, it was just like crickets. We're probably because we're all tired, you know. And Daphne freaks out with drivers in the US. You then she freaks out with me, yeah. Then you put her in Jamaica with like barely any laws, you know, and everybody's driving like crazy. So I even text you, I was like, I'm missing you, because you're always like talking to the guy, but we made it, it was fine. That's my least favorite part about Hita, though, is that drive over.

I kind of actually get to see a little bit of the Jamaican like countryside, and it's it's it's kind of interesting, but yeah, now that we've done it like five or six times, it's it it's like okay, we've seen this, let's just get there. Yeah, it's a tough drive.

Yeah, it's a tough drive, and like we have friends that do the flight over, which there's a baggage, there's like a weight limit, so I've never been able to do that. I'm also scared of those little planes. I feel like anybody that dies in a plane crash dies in those little yeah, I'm like a little frag. Yeah, okay. So we made it, right, guys? We made it, we were all exhausted. Uh by the time we got there, it was probably about six o'clock at night. So we had a theme outfit, or at least me and Daphne did for that first, it was diamond night, but honestly, we were we were not feeling it. We were all exhausted, we were all over it. So we ended up just kind of freshening up a little bit, and then we just went and had dinner, and like we didn't even put our theme outfits on, or we just wore like a romance.

Yeah, it's just by the time you're trapped, it was just a lot, you know. Honestly, this um this whole day was kind of boring because after our dinner, we went back to the room to pack the swag bags and get all that organized, and we just went to bed. They didn't go to the nude pool, we just were exhausted. I even called you, I think I FaceTimed you and I was like, Don't be mad at me. We're just going to bed. Because Dan listen, if anything we did during this trip is we slept. Dan does not like Don Dan does not let us sleep when he's around.

Yes, it is true. I don't sleep like a whole day away, but no, we went to bed at like midnight, all but like two nights. I think two nights we stayed out like past midnight. Oh, yeah.

Yeah, Dan would have been like we had to we never even went to the nude pool one time after.

Wow, yeah, but I think also for me the reality of the heat, yeah, hitting us, you know, the minute you get there, it's like it is an instant drain, you know, because you're just not you ready for it, and then it just like slaps you in the face, and so we had that to deal with too just you know, just the oh my goodness. So I think that is yeah, yeah.

We went last year the same week, last year Dan and I did, and I do not remember it being this hot. I think it rained a significant amount more last year than it did this year. I mean, the days that we got a good rainstorm, it cooled it off. Yeah, but if it just rained like a little, like a little shower, yeah.

Last year, last year it was like perfect because it was like after every afternoon, it would like rain for an hour, it would cool everything off, and then you got there at night and it kind of had that.

It was not that way at all this time. No, it was it was brutally hot, brutally hot. So so yeah, oh, and then we put it on porn, which I'll let Daphne and Mike I'll let y'all tell the story of the porn.

My favorite thing about Hito is like they have two porn channels. So Dan and I just turn it on and we leave it on the entire week, and it's just part of our like day. And I'm not used to y'all who don't like y'all for trying to watch like real shows. Who goes to Hito and watches real TV? That was my porn.

Oh, well. Okay, so basically that was our Friday. That was our first day. Um, okay, so let's go into Saturday. So um so I texted Dan and I'm like, hey, what time should I be up at the front desk? And Dan's like, let me see what time the first flight comes in. He's like, the first flight gets there at 6 30. So that means he will start arriving until 8 30. So maybe get there about get up there around 8 30. Dan, the first person in our group didn't get there till noon.

I ended up getting up there about 10, but our my first group of people did not get there.

So we don't do the tour because some people don't get there until nine or ten o'clock at night. So uh we you know the whole group's not there to do the tour. So we always do the tour the second day. Yeah, but that first day, I can remember even back to the first time we ever went to Hito, we were kind of like lost puppies that first day because we had we there was we had no map, we had no idea where to go, we didn't know what we were supposed to do. So we just kind of you know wandered around.

Yeah. So it's nice. I mean, I think it's nice for us to sit up there. So I realized at this point that it's this week was gonna be good for me because I you are very much a crutch for me, you know. But I realized I couldn't you weren't here to do that, so I had to like I had to talk to people and like you know, make conversations. I couldn't just sit there like a bob on a log. So I realized very quickly that day that that was gonna happen. Um, Daphne and Mike, y'all went to the did y'all go to the pool and the beach that first day? I know you did a lot of the beach that day.

So Daphne and Mike and I went to the that pool party at four, and it was packed. I mean, like, it's like everybody dropped their shit and went straight to that pool party. And it was fun. I mean, I was nervous, I didn't quite know, you know, what that was, you know, what that looked like. But um, I I like the first day, I mean it was really good. I had a I had a good time. I it was nice. Everybody was asking about you. I mean, it was nothing major happened that first day. I uh I did a lot of shots off my body.

And so I went to the room for like, I mean, because I was burning up and had to, I had the air on in the room and then had my fan in my hand trying to cool my eyes off. It was that hot. So yeah, I cooled off and then we went to the pool party. So I met Daphne and Mike up there. Daphne was freaked out by the water. You want to talk a little bit about that, Daphne?

But maybe it was because there were so many people. I don't know, but you you could not see your feet. Like it was it was cloudy, so cloudy. And maybe it was the sunscreen, maybe it was, you know, I'm a germ phobic. Like things like that really get to me and cause me to have anxiety. So I was just like, anyway, so um I was just like not having the pool. I didn't care to sit on this the the side of the pool. I was happy there, but to be waiting around no, very little. Wow, yeah.

And she pretty much just sat on the side, which honestly mainly I did too. So this happens here, or so we get it's a good time to talk about it. I've talked about in the progress before the so because there's so many people in that pool and there's so much shit going on, they put so much chlorine in that pool, so much, and especially at night, but sometimes during the day, the chlorine just sets my skin on fire. And I don't know why. I don't know if maybe I'm like slightly allergic to whatever brand they use. I don't know what it is.

So this day I'm like trying to like be you've had problems with the chlorine in the past, but it's usually the hot tub, not the pool that you have problems with.

But for some reason, this that I mean like it was burning my skin. Like at one point, I got out and used the shower to like try to rinse off, and it just like I was like my skin was genuinely hurting. So I ended up, I think Daphne might went to the beach some, and then I ended up going to the room. I was really just gonna like kind of chill for a few minutes. I ended up just staying in. But I did I was out at the pool till till like I think it was like 12 to 2 was the topless party, and then at two o'clock they did the car wash. So I did miss the car wash, which if you know party marks games that he does, the car wash is something that's a big deal, which I heard it was amazing. So I hate that I missed it, but I just the water was setting my ass on fire.

What do you mean? In the room? Oh, I made myself calm because I was by myself. So like Mike and Daphne would fuck, you know, and like next to me, but like sometimes a girl just needs to like enjoy herself without anybody. So anytime I had their room to myself, I would make myself come.

The one the sex when we got back was top notch. We'll talk about that later. Um so um but so after all of that, uh we went um, I went back, you know, back to the room. Then y'all text me, y'all were having like a late lunch. So I ended up meeting y'all at the buffet and we had lunch, and then we came back and we basically rested. So Topless Travel has a meet and greet on the first like official day, which is Sunday, um, from six to seven in the piano bar. So because we had that, we just we went ahead and stayed in and then we got ready for the night portion and went to that, which it was good. I was able to meet a lot of couples. Um, I I had to stand in front of people, draw names out of it. It was funny because Daphne and Mike were like taking pictures of me and sending it to Dan. They're like, She's doing so good. Yep, but they did a good job of making me be a part of it and stuff and thanking us, and it was good. So after the piano bar, um we all like all of our friend grade, we went and ate at the flame, which honestly I'm not a fan of.

So yeah, yeah. I mean, it was okay. It's just so hot out there. You're outside, you know, at least like up at the top, there is some like, I don't know, I feel like you're in more out there, you're basically out, you know. I mean, it's okay. I liked it better when we had it that lunchtime later in the week. Um, it was just yeah, okay.

Um, and then after that, we went to the room. And because we had had our dinner early, we had we got to like rest.

Um so this theme was sports night, like sexy sports night. So I'm like, okay, I gotta get up. Daphne's like, I don't wanna go. You did. And I was like, I got I was like, well, I have I have to at least make TikToks and take pictures. Like I can't skip a night. So I get up and start getting dressed, and I think I just like peer pressured you because next thing I know, you're getting up and getting dressed.

Well, I think for me, I always want to do it, but I I just the the dread of getting ready is like I'm just like, ugh, you know, so I just have to get up and get going, and then I'm okay.

Well, and Daphne was pissed off because everybody had the same outfit as her, and she had seen that earlier because when we went to the flame and stuff, everybody was like a lot of people were already out in their costumes.

Well, to be fair, because you didn't know till like the week of, both of you basically had to order all your outfits from Amazon. So it's not like you could have got something custom made from Etsy and like you didn't your time frame to get your outfits together was very yeah, she just had to kind of pick something in order.

I mean, it was an adorable outfit, everybody had it on, and everybody looked hot in it. But so many people I was the hottest, so we went to the club and we had fun. I mean, we had a good time, we danced, you know. I mean, not no nothing really major to report other than we dance, and then whenever it was time to play, all of our friends were like, We're going to play. Are you coming? And I'm like, No, I'm not. Or I'd be like, Yeah, let me go to the room, and then I would do that. And now, spoiler, because I think we're almost at the end of this episode. I did end up going to the playroom, and I did end up having fun. But it definitely took me a couple days to almost kind of like build up the courage to do it.

Uh, I I didn't know if you would. I well, at first I thought you would. One, because I think just you know, you've been on testosterone and you've been like horned out here. Uh so I was like, I bet she will. Um, when you said you didn't like the first couple of nights, I kind of had the same thing. Like, well, it's gonna take her, it's gonna take her a little while to get comfortable. Um, you know, the the other part is I was able to do a lot of social media. We probably this is probably the most well-documented trip to Hito on our social media that there has ever been because you know, I was at home, you know, taking care of family, but I didn't have much going on during the day. So I was able to kind of, you know, you would send me pictures. We we made a shared Apple, you know, folder and Lacey's like in real time, like dropping photos in there. Um, so I was able to post everything in real time. So that helped. I mean, I think kept me in the know. You FaceTimed me two or three times a day, it seemed like.

So yeah, yeah, I mean, like in from my perspective, I feel like me and Daphne did a ton of work. Like we killed it with pit, I mean, and I hadn't really talked about that much, but like we killed it with our pictures, our TikToks, you know, I vlog the whole time. You know, I was FaceTiming Dan a couple of times, you know, a day. So like even though I wasn't as active and like running around like as I had I would if you were there, I mean, I was doing a lot of work and I was sleeping, I was getting a good night's right because we were going to bed by like midnight, you know, and sleeping till eight or nine o'clock the next morning or ten.

Lies we were sleeping. I would I was I would come back at 10 and you guys would be like in your bed.

Yeah, but yeah, and you know, another thing that's funny, like the first two or three nights, I would like put my little pajamas on and like go to bed, and I after like night two or three, I was butt-ass naked in the bed with them. Like it took us a couple of days to kind of get you know into the swing of things, literally each other. Yeah, I mean, no, not me, I was in the bed naked from the get-go. No, I mean, like, if anybody that I was gonna be comfortable with, it was definitely gonna be them. It would have been a huge bigger adjustment with anybody else. So it just it just took me a day or two.
